In May 2007, a major fire devasted over 90,000 acres of forest in Georgia. Verizon Wireless' Cell on Wheels (COW) was brought in to help with critical need.
In December 2006, a major blizzard crippled Colorado. Verizon Wireless was the only carrier that provided uninterrupted service throughout the storm and its aftermath.
