Short-term incentive

As part of our Total Rewards Program, Verizon Wireless provides a yearly short-term Incentive (cash bonus) designed to reward an employee for both Company and individual performance. All regular, full-time and/or part-time employees who are actively at work on the last day of the plan year and are not covered under a sales incentive plan are eligible to participate in the program.

 

Long-term incentive

We are also excited to offer our employee Value Appreciation Rights (VARS). Like stock options, VARs allow employees to share in the increasing value of Verizon Wireless. Subject to certain employment eligibility requirements, full-time and part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week are eligible for this long-term incentive program. It delivers value to you based on the change in the value of the company. If and when the company goes public, VARs may convert into stock options.
